The new board of Keep Roswell Beautiful will have its first meeting on Monday since its creation.

The Roswell City Council in June appointed three people to the board, part of a requirement for the organization to affiliate with the national nonprofit Keep America Beautiful.

Board members are Mike Clarke, Megan Cedarberg and Matthew Pacheco. The city staff coordinator is Marketing Coordinator Thalia Pantoja-Gruis.

Two positions are still open on the board. Anyone wanting to apply can find an application on the Boards, Commissions and Committees section of the city website.

Anyone wanting to volunteer with Keep Roswell Beautiful can find a link to a form at the Keep Roswell Beautiful page on the city’s website.

The board’s first actions will be to select a chair and vice chair.

Also on Monday’s agenda is a discussion of upcoming projects.

In the last year, Keep Roswell Beautiful events have included April’s Arbor Day seedling giveaway with the Parks and Recreation Department; a November business clean-up with the Roswell Chamber of Commerce, Hispano Chamber of Commerce and MainStreet Roswell; and a pop-up art project in October with the Roswell Museum and Art Center to create a mural out of bottle caps.

The board will meet virtually at noon on Monday. The public can attend through virtual meeting software GoToMeeting at https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/353579549 or over the phone by calling 646-749-3122 and using access code 353-579-549.
