City administration offices and other city facilities will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

In addition to city offices, the Roswell Recreation and Aquatic Center, as well as the Roswell Public Library, will be closed that Monday. The Roswell Adult Center, Roswell Museum and Art Center, and Spring River Zoo remain closed at this time.

City bus service and trash pickup will be altered because of the holiday.

Roswell Transit will have buses in operation only on Main Street that Monday. The buses will run from 9:08 a.m. to 4:36 p.m.

The Solid Waste Department’s residential trash pickup for the week of Sept. 7 has been adjusted. Areas south of Alameda Street plus areas east of Garden Avenue between Alameda and Second Street (normally picked up Monday and Thursday) will have their trash containers picked up Tuesday and Thursday. Areas north of Alameda (normally picked up Tuesday and Friday) will have their trash containers picked up Wednesday and Friday. The landfill will be closed Monday, Sept. 7.
