DiAnn Rebecca Ennis, 71, passed away on August 28, 2020 at her home in Hagerman, NM. No services are planned at this time.

She was born on June 14, 1949 in Roswell NM, the first child of William Ennis and Eula Mae Ennis and proud older sister of her “baby brother” Gary Ennis. DiAnn graduated from Roswell High School in 1967 and graduated from Missouri State University in 1986 with a B.S. in Environmental Plant Science and Natural Resources. She had lived in Missouri since the completion of her degree and was able to retire from the Missouri Department of Transportation. During her many years living in Missouri, she enjoyed cheering on the Missouri State Lady Bears basketball team. She was also an avid fisherwoman and enjoyed her retirement years at her cabin at Lake Pomme de Terre, Missouri. She had recently moved back to New Mexico in 2018.

An animal lover, she was especially drawn to providing a loving home for many cats and dogs throughout her years. Among her many artistic talents, she was a brilliant writer with a seemingly effortless ability to tell stories and write letters with such a graceful and flowing style, her handwritten letters were often eagerly anticipated and treasured.

DiAnn was a lifelong Christian, loving daughter, sister, aunt and great-aunt. She is survived by her “baby brother” Gary Ennis, spouse Charlotte, her niece Kari Hays, spouse Dave and their son Ari, niece Stacey Ennis, spouse Justin Gray and their children Connor and Riley. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Eula Mae Ennis. She will always be remembered as a gentle, caring soul.
