The newest member of the Roswell Independent School District Board of Education will take the oath of office at Tuesday night’s regular board meeting.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Administrative and Educational Services Complex, 300 N. Kentucky.

Only board members and a small number of support staff will be in attendance due to the state’s health order. The meeting will be livestreamed on the district’s YouTube channel.

Milburn Dolan, who previously served for six years on the RISD board, will be sworn in. Dolan was appointed Aug. 19 to fill the District 3 seat vacated when former Board President Alan Gedde resigned July 27 for personal reasons.

In action items, the board will consider approval of adding to the district’s increment pay schedule and an attendance policy for remote learning.

The board will give recognition to three members of the information technology department — Lucy Morgan, Harold Pleasant and Bryan Yates.

Superintendent Mike Gottlieb will give reports on year-to-date revenue and expenditure activity and the first two weeks of school.

The board will also discuss hybrid learning and its upcoming workshop.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the board will hear presentations on Canvas, the district’s learning management software, and the TRIO student outreach program.

An executive session is scheduled with a discussion of personally identifiable information about individual students or staff.
