Two men sustained injuries Monday night after police believe they were shot at while driving a pickup truck in north Roswell.

Police were dispatched to the parking lot of Walmart in the 4500 block of North Main Street at 8 p.m. in reference to a report of two shooting victims, according to Todd Wildermuth, public information officer for the Roswell Police Department.

Investigators believe the two men — ages 17 and 18 — were in the 1600 block of West College Boulevard when they were shot, possibly with bird shot from a shotgun.

Wildermuth said the two men then drove to the Walmart parking lot where one of the victims called his parents, who in turn contacted police.

Both men were subsequently transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for what Wildermuth described Tuesday as non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to make a full recovery.
