Our beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Jimmy Allen Pargas, 65, of Roswell, New Mexico left this earth riding free on his motorcycle, Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Jimmy’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.
Jimmy Allen was born on June 26th 1955 in Artesia, New Mexico to Lollie and Jimmy Pargas. He attended and graduated from Roswell High School in 1973. He married Brenda Gowell in 1982 (divorced 1986) and was blessed soon after with their daughter Shelby Amber. His employment was vast, in his younger years he worked as a bouncer, bartender, and DJ. He later went on to work in the oilfield as a technician, welder, and driller. He was apprenticed in plumbing by his loving, handyman father at the Pecos Valley Housing Authorities at the Roswell Industrial Air Center. Like his father, he loved working on household projects, cars and motorcycles. He loved being outdoors, camping and floating in the lake. He liked to keep his surroundings organized and no one could iron a pair of pants like he could, with perfect lines. Allen had a positive outlook and was thankful for his life and freedom. He enjoyed many hobbies including golfing, scuba diving, and riding his motorcycle. Above all else he was grateful for the time he had with his family and took the opportunity to serve them in anyway he could. He made everyone around him laugh with his endless teasing and great sense of humor. Allen’s beautiful caring spirit and listening ear will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Allen is survived by his daughter Shelby Gleadow (Stephen) of Beijing, China, and mother Lollie Urban, brother Randall Pargas, of Roswell, New Mexico and sister Teresa Pargas-Williams of Ruidoso, NM. Grandchildren Jackson and Asher Gleadow of Bejing, China. Nieces and nephews; Jacinta Wade of Albuquerque, NM, Andrielle Pargas of Dallas, TX, Christina Hernandez (Gabe) of Roswell ,NM, Isaiah Pargas and Acea Waggoner of Roswell, NM along with countless relatives and friends whom he loved dearly. And his two crazy dogs he inherited from his father.
When Allen entered heaven, he was met by his Father Santiago Jimmy Pargas who was indeed surprised by how quickly he followed. As well as his Grandparents Steve and Ramona Urban, and Sixto and Telesfora Pargas.
A memorial will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, September 19th, 2020 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home, 2609 S Main St, Roswell, NM. *Masks required please.
