American Legion Post 28, 1620 N. Montana Ave., will have a membership drive and fundraiser raffle Saturday.

Hot dogs, chips and soda will be served at the post from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A donation is suggested for the food. New and past members are welcome, said Orlando Padilla, financial officer/adjutant of the post.

“We are trying to recruit more new members to the post and we’re also trying to renew old members,” Padilla said. “We’d like for those guys, the veterans who were members before who have not renewed for 2020 or 2021, we’d like to get them back.”

Padilla said membership is a small yearly fee.

The post will also have a raffle for a .22-caliber Henry Classic lever-action rifle and Boker classic fixed blade knife donated by Zia Trading and Guns, 1907 N. Main St.
