Items being accepted by the city of Roswell for recycling have changed, according to a press release from the city.

The items that can be placed in the recycling bins are now limited to the following:

• Aluminum and tin cans

• Cardboard (except for frozen-food containers). If possible, please flatten cardboard boxes.

The following items are no longer being recycled at this time, “but it is hoped they will be accepted by a private recycling service provider the city is currently in discussions with about handling recycling collection as the city steps away from this service,” according to the press release.

The press release also noted, “The recycling containers are designated to accept clean recyclable material and not intended to be used for trash or food waste. We urge residents to use these bins only for recyclables so we can avoid having to get rid of whole loads that are contaminated.”
