Members of the Lake Arthur Municipal Schools Board of Education cut the ribbon Tuesday on the Lake Arthur Community Fitness Center on Broadway Street. It is due to be open for free to students and town residents Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The area’s first known public gym has been funded by a Community Schools grant from the New Mexico Public Education Department. Clockwise from left are Board President Edward Rubio, Vice President Gene Bassett, member Amanda Lodoza and Vice President Irma Salmon. (Submitted Photo)
