City administration offices and other city facilities will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

In addition to city offices, the Roswell Recreation and Aquatic Center, Roswell Adult Center, Roswell Public Library and Roswell Museum and Art Center will be closed on the holiday. Spring River Zoo remains closed at this time.

While the Roswell Museum and Art Center will be closed on Veterans Day, the museum will honor veterans the day before the official holiday with special Veterans Hours. On Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., veterans and their families will be offered exclusive access to the museum before it opens to the general public for the day.

City bus service will be altered because of the holiday. Roswell Transit will have buses in operation only on Main Street that Wednesday. The buses will run from 9:16 a.m. to 5:11 p.m.

Veterans Day will not impact the Solid Waste Department’s residential trash pickup since none of that trash pickup occurs on Wednesdays. The pickup schedule for the other days that week will remain as usual. The landfill will be closed on Veterans Day.
