Letter: It’s not over ‘til it’s over

On Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020 RDR published on its front page the headline: “Biden wins White House, vows new direction,” written by Jonathan Lemire and Zeke Miller of the Associated Press.

The first line of the first paragraph reads “Democrat Joe Biden defeated President Donald Trump to become the 46th President of the United States on Saturday …”

This statement at the time of printing by RDR was incorrect. The two journalists were premature in writing this story as well as the Associated Press in releasing the story to the public.

I suggest all journalists and editors of any publication or media outlet that values the truth and the rule of law read first the Constitution of the United States and state election laws and guidelines before releasing information that leads people to believe as true what is not.

Joe Biden is not yet the president of the United States until all states have certified their election results as complete and correct. Several states’ vote processes have been compromised by failing to follow the election laws of their state, accepting votes after the close of polls and barring Republican observers from viewing the verification of ballots.

Amid allegations of blatant voter fraud and witness statements of ballot tampering, with the help of the mainstream media, Democrats are celebrating and carrying on as if they have won this election. This election is far from over until the allegations of fraud are found to be true or false through litigation and likely will be decided by the Supreme Court.

Biden has publicly stated his desire for unity in our country. If he truly believes what he has said then he should pull back from celebrating what he has not yet won and support the right of citizens of this country to a free and fair election, the rule of law and the investigation of voter fraud. Winning the presidency by stealing this election will never unify this country. The Democrat machine is scrambling to win by any means, at any cost to assume power over our country, as demonstrated by what has transpired over the past four years. It’s not over ‘til it’s over.
