On Monday, November 9, 2020, our beloved wife and mother, Guadalupe “Lupe” Salmon Sosa, 89, went to be with our Lord and Savior. We will miss her very much but keep ourselves strong with the love and faith she has instilled in us.

Guadalupe “Lupe” was born on November 13, 1930, in Barstow, TX, to Espitacion Salmon and Calistra Gomez, who preceded her in death. She was married in October of 1947, to Raymond B. Sosa for seventy-three years. Lupe loved her music, of course “Little Joe” but her favorite songs were Un Día a La Vez and Cielito Lindo. She would faithfully read the bible; her favorite verse was Psalms 23. Lupe was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church up until the time her health started to deteriorate. She worked for the state for twenty-five years as a child-care provider and was known as “Grandma” to the many kids that knew her. Lupe touched many in her special way and they loved her tortillas.

PRECEDED: Lupe is preceded in death by her son, Mike Sosa; daughter, Lydia S. Trujillo; special granddaughter, Betty Jo Lynda Trujillo; and grandson, John Paul Hurtado.

SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Lupe are her husband, Raymond Sosa Sr.; sons: Robert and wife Rosa, and Raymond Jr. and wife Salli; daughters, Mary, and Nadine Sosa; daughter-in-law, Mary Sosa; as well as thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Eric Sosa, Tommy Ray Sosa, Robert Steven Sosa, Jimmy S. Ramirez, Joseph Daniel Hurtado, and her great-grandsons: Chris and Jacob Trujillo.

When tomorrow starts without me,
and I’m not here to see,
if the sun should rise and find your eyes,
filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry,
the way you did today,
while thinking of the many things,
we didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me,
as much as I love you,
and each time you think of me,
I know you’ll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me,
don’t think we’re far apart,
for every time you think of me,
I’m right there in your heart.
