Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Dolores Geraldine Hidalgo, 76, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Dolores’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SERVICES: There will be a Viewing for Dolores at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Friday, November 20, 2020, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Mass at Assumption Catholic Church, at 5:00 PM. Family and friends will gather for a Rosary at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

On November 28, 1943, Dolores was born to Wilfred Brady and Mary Archuleta in Madera, California. She graduated in San Pedro, California. Dolores was the beloved wife of Johnny Y. Hidalgo, whom she married on August 28, 1962, in San Patricio, New Mexico, he preceded her in death. Prior to retirement, she was a Mental Health Advocate. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and volunteered with church activities. Dolores enjoyed dancing, cruising, fishing, sewing, and crocheting. She loved baking, cooking, and eating burgers. Dolores’s most treasured moments were the times she spent with her grandchildren, they were the light of her life. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to have known Dolores.

SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Dolores are her children: Wilfred and wife Rosa, Rachel Hidalgo, Tony Hidalgo and wife Daniella; grandchildren: Matthew Hidalgo and wife Adrianna, Anna Hidalgo, Sunni Sanchez and husband Jorge, Jared Hidalgo and wife Valeria, Renee Carrasco and husband Cameron, Santos Madero and wife Lisa, Samantha Madero, Marie Madero and Omar Salazar, J.R. Madero and wife Ebony, Fabian Lopez, Cheyenne Lopez, Damian Lopez, Daisy Hidalgo, and Lilly Hidalgo; nineteen loving great-grandchildren; siblings: Patsy Marquez and husband Lee, Wilfred Brady and wife Angie, Abel Brady and Tina, Monica Chapa and Jesse, Raymond Brady, Josie Nieto, Mary Nieto, Vickie Nieto, Georgia Nieto, and Steven Nieto; numerous loving nieces, nephews, and close friends; as well as her precious pet, “FiFi.”

PRECEDED: Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Y. Hidalgo; son Johnny D. Hidalgo Jr.; grandson, Timothy Hidalgo; parents, Wilfred Brady and Mary Archuleta; grandparents: Abel and Augustina Brady; and Aunt Virgie Gonzales and Ninfa Tegeda.
