Thanksgiving dinner is going to be a little different this year for those who utilize the Community Kitchen in Roswell. Due to the pandemic and New Mexico state closures, officials at the Community Kitchen are taking a different approach to the Community Kitchen Thanksgiving.

Instead of convening as usual at the Community Kitchen’s location at 114 East Bland for a community dinner, this year’s dinner will be pick-up.

Join Community Kitchen for a safe grab-and-go Thanksgiving meal, provided by Richland Auto Group and served by the Community Kitchen. The meals will be handed out on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26 from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the window at Community Kitchen, 114 East Bland.

Each person will receive a meal including turkey, sweet potatoes, vegetables and a roll. All meals will also come with a drink.

Meals are free to anyone in Roswell, according to a press release issued last week. It stated Community Kitchen has been providing meals in Roswell since 1982.
