Wintry precipitation could make its way to Roswell this weekend.

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque on Thursday reported a 30% chance of precipitation Friday night which could include snow accumulation of less than half an inch.

Rain could begin before 11 p.m. before switching over to rain and snow, with temperatures reaching a low of 33 and north winds of about 10 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday, there is a 20% chance of rain and snow before 11 a.m before becoming sunny with temperatures expected to reach a high of 52.

The precipitation could result from a low pressure system which could bring with it snow and strong winds for portions of New Mexico, according to The Associated Press.
