Sharon Lee Flores (nee Gooding) of Roswell, NM, entered her heavenly rest into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, November 22, 2020.

Sharon was born to Jesse “Fred” Gooding and Glenna Gooding (nee Gifford) on December 9, 1950, in Paris, TX. She had a great childhood with her family as the middle of three children between her brother, Jesse, and sister, Vera.

After high school, she studied jewelry technology at Paris Junior College, where she met the love of her life and devoted husband of 47 years, Kenneth Flores of Roswell, NM. Together, Sharon and Kenneth had two beautiful children, Marcus and Cindy.

In addition to her husband Kenneth, Sharon is survived by her daughter, Cindy Montalto (James) of New York; her mother Glenna Gooding and sister Vera Armstrong both of Caviness, TX; her mother-in-law, Arsenia Flores of Roswell, NM; and two grandchildren, Aaron (Cindy) and Taylor (Marcus).

She is predeceased by her son, Marcus Flores; her father, Fred Gooding; her brother, Jesse Gooding; and her brother-in-law, John Flores of Roswell.

She was a sweet, generous and thoughtful person, who had immense love and devotion for her family. She was a talented artist who loved animals including dogs, cats and especially horses, which she had the pleasure of riding in her youth.

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, of which she was a member, also holds the horse or issoba (meaning like a deer) in high esteem. “As the deer pants for water brooks, so my soul pants for your, O God.” (Psalm 42:1). Services will be private.
