Julie Lazarus from the Cardiovascular Department was named April Employee of the Month.

Lazarus exemplifies what it means to be committed to her co-workers, physicians and most importantly her patients. During the March-June COVID response and the day-to-day changes that evolved, she was more than willing to take call 24/7 for two months to be available for all inpatients, ER and selected outpatients. Amid a crisis, Lazarus knew what was ahead for her during the next two months and took on the responsibility to care for all patients that needed specific testing.

She goes above and beyond in her day-to-day duties. She is always willing to go the extra mile to help her co-workers. She brings a sense of calm to her patients, shows compassion when they are afraid or unsure and always takes the time to listen to them. Lazarus holds herself accountable in all aspects of her job.

Janice Anderson, ENMMC’s May Employee of the Month (Submitted Photo)

Janice Anderson of the Business Office was named ENMMC’s May Employee of the Month.

Anderson opens main admitting at 5:30 a.m. daily and then finishes her day at the Imaging Center. She has a great personality and is very pleasant and never shows frustration or lashes out at others even when provoked. She is innovative and proactive when working with limited staff in preventing wait times for patients. Anderson never complains when asked to stop mid-stream to assist elsewhere and she is always willing to help with whatever problems arise and does so with a smile.

Anderson has an excellent attendance record and is a true asset to any team, but especially Patient Access. ENMMC thanks Janice Anderson for all she does.

Karen Reynolds, ENMMC’s June Employee of the Month (Submitted Photo)

Karen Reynolds of Finance was named ENMMC’s June Employee of the Month.

Special projects is her middle name. She is always working on assignments with payroll, whether it is contract labor invoices or employee time in Kronos, she makes every effort to ensure that employees are getting paid correctly. What exemplifies Reynolds is the true meaning of going the extra mile, and there have been a few times she has gone to an employee’s bank to deposit their check because they are working and/or out of town and not able to do so.

In addition, Reynolds is always willing to cover for administration when they are in need. Recently, she has been working on a project with contract labor invoices that fell out with the Kronos update. Additionally, she works on a continuous basis to make sure these invoices are submitted in a timely manner. As always, she makes sure that payroll is done on time, and comes in on the weekends to make sure it is done. ENMMC thanks Karen Reynolds for all of her hard work.

A word from CEO Yehl

Employees are nominated for Employee of the Month by their hospital peers, based on their commitment to patient care, their professionalism and their contributions on the job.

“Each of our employees has a specific role in the delivery of quality health care to the people who live and work in the Roswell community,” said Warren Yehl, chief executive officer of ENMMC. “Our success in meeting the needs of the patients we serve is dependent on the collective efforts of all employees.”
