SERVICES: Graveside Services for Guadalupe will be held at South Park Cemetery on Monday, December 7, 2020, at 1:00 PM.

On February 6, 1933, Guadalupe was born to Meliton and Martina Cervantez in Carlsbad, NM. Momma was a homemaker and well known for her delicious Mexican cooking and her giving sweet spirit. She never met a stranger and loved helping others in need.

Along with cooking, Momma also enjoyed crocheting, reading the Bible, listening to her Christian music, animals, and listening to her white parakeets which she named “Holy Spirit”. Her MOST favorite of all things to do was watch John Cena on WWE, which she referred to as her “LUCHAS”.

Momma never threw out birthday or holiday cards. From time to time she would take them out and reminisce on sweet memories. She enjoyed laughing at them years thereafter. Momma was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She loved God and was a prayer warrior for her family and friends.

Her greatest concern was always as to who would pray for her children when she was gone. Momma’s favorite scripture was Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, said the LORD.”

SURVIVORS: Guadalupe leaves behind her children: Josie and Louis Yeomans, Irene and Adam Navarette, Lisa and Terry Chaves, Israel DeLaRosa, Joe DeLaRosa, Robert DeLaRosa, Toni DeLaRosa and Catarino DeLaRosa; siblings: Fidel Cervantez, Manuela Cervantez, Freddie Cervantez, Joe Cervantez and Jessie Cervantez; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

PRECEDED: Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents, Meliton and Martina Cervantez, siblings: Refugio Cervantez, Manuel Cervantez, Camilo Cervantez and Rudy Cervantes; and two sons: Phillip DeLaRosa and Ismael DeLaRosa.

The family would like to give special “Thanks” to Mission Arch Care Center for their care and support during this difficult time.
