Letter: Soon enough, freedoms will be ‘gone with the wind’

For those of you old enough to remember, Nikita Khrushchev, former leader of the Soviet Union, when speaking of the United States said, “… We will bury you without firing a shot.”

Unless Trump can get the Supreme Court to invalidate the 2020 election, then Khrushchev will have been right.

Our freedoms are gone with the wind. You will begin seeing it happen soon: higher taxes, loss of property rights, socialized medical care, elimination of fossil fuels, complete standardization of public schools, absolute abolition of gun ownership, etc., etc., etc.

God knows I feel so obligated to the young men and women who gave their lives for freedom to see it end without a fight.
