Lights, cider and a festive display

The Historical Society for Southeast New Mexico (HSSNM) Christmas Drive-Thru Fundraiser on Dec. 6 lit up Lea Avenue, when for the first time the museum and archives were decorated with festive lights. First to receive her ticket for a to-go holiday dinner at Peppers Grill & Bar was Vicki Burress. She said that she won her ticket at Pioneer Bank. HSSNM Executive Director Amy McVay Tellez said that she was thankful for the support by Jesse McDaniel, who decorated one of the large trees, as well as Jacob Roebuck for the lighting. “Mary Lou Glass donated window decorations in honor of my late mother,” McVay Tellez said.
