LaNell Godby Roper, 82, passed away in Mesa, Arizona on Thursday, December 3, 2020.

She was born in Stonewall, Oklahoma on October 24, 1938 to Bill and Ruby Keller Godby. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Jim Godby, and four sisters, Pat McLeod, Betty Skibbe, Iris Morrison and Billie Anderson.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bob Roper, daughter Kathy Tater (Mike) of Ohio and son Rob Roper (Rose) of Mesa, AZ; four grandchildren Sean Belliston, Lindsey Belliston-Tater, Scott Tater all of Ohio and Josh Lake of Mesa. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter Saige LaNell Belliston of Ohio and two sisters, Ida Knapp of Louisiana and Kay Payne of Roswell.

LaNell was a graduate of Roswell High School, Class of 1957 and retired from Exxon-Mobil. She was an avid golfer and bridge player.
