It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the loss of a son, husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle, and a great friend to all, JOHN E. HARRISON, 76, who passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family in Roswell, NM.

John was born on September 29, 1944, in Anadarko, OK, to David and Elsie Harrison. He served in the U.S. Army as a mechanic from 1965 – 1967. John met the love of his life, Barbara, in 1970 and they married on May 28, 1971. They raised two children together, Lisa and Daniel, in a modest home in Phoenix, AZ.

In 1973, John devoted his life to Jehovah and served Jehovah as a faithful brother until his passing. He took much pride in his work as a Diesel Mechanic and retired in 2006 from Sun Tran, in Tucson, AZ. Shortly after, John moved with his wife to Roswell, NM, to enjoy his retirement years.

John enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering around the house, and spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his hospitality, kind heart, humor, and frugalness. John readily would offer his handyman and mechanical skills to help those in need.

Those left to cherish John’s memory are his wife of forty-nine years, Barbara Harrison; daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Kent McNelly; son, Daniel Harrison; grandchildren: Joshua McDade, Kristopher and Keisha McDade, Tyler-Amber McDade; great-granddaughters: Kaelyn, Kaseigh and Torrea; sister and brother-in-law, Modena and Bob Barclay; as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.
