MARIA ORTEGA, 69, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Maria’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SERVICES: There will be a Viewing for Maria at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on after the Viewing, at 2:00 PM at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

On September 14, 1951, Maria was born to Benjamin Barba and Delfina Montes Quintanilla in San Francisco Del Oro, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Maria was a regular member of the Joy Center. She liked playing bingo and participating in other activities. Her loved ones will deeply miss her spirit, smile, and presence.

SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Maria are her children: Pat Gray (Raymond Amaya), Monica Lysak (Craig Lysak), and Theresa Sanchez (Ryan Hunt); grandchildren: Craig Jr, Alexander Lysak, Joannah Gray, TJ Sanders, Valarie Amaya, and Ramon Amaya Jr; great-grandchildren: Anthony Lysak, Romeo Hidalgo, Mireya Sanchez, and Mia Sanchez; siblings: Oscar Montes (Bertha Montes), Teresa Renteria (Lupe Renteria), Mike Montes, and Rita Herrera; nieces and nephews: Oscar Jr, Crystal Maritza, Lionel, Janeth, Joel, Jesse, Mike Jr, Nick, Chuck, Eric, Eva, Mary, Jessica, Jesse, and Valarie; close friends: Richard and Marilyn Lysak and Becky Borunda; as well as her precious pets: Bentley and Corona.

PRECEDED: Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Barba and Delfina Montes Quintanilla.
