Businesses donate to local seniors

Some senior citizens who regularly visit the Chaves County JOY Centers were treated to gift baskets of needed items before Christmas.

Marlisa Bevers-Walls of Roswell Home Medical Inc. coordinated donations for the sixth year. Other people participating in making donations of blankets, heaters and food were Betty Davis of Kindred Hospice, Daniel Sullivan, a licensed practical nurse with Healthbridge Home Health of Roswell and Angel Mayes, owner of Calico Cow Fabrics and Gift Shop. The donations were delivered Dec. 17 and given to 20 seniors in need in time for Christmas.
