Patria Ethel (nee Edmonds) Laube

Peacefully, after a lengthy illness with COPD (caused by smoking), Patricia passed into the waiting arms of her forebears. In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, no services will be held.

She was the youngest of three children born on 24 Nov 1937 in the small town of Balmoral in Manitoba, Canada. The family relocated to St. James, MB, Can, where she was able to attend schools and complete her education. She met and eventually married her husband Rolf. Last Sept, they celebrated 52 years together. In 1979, they moved to NZ for a bit and, on their return to Canada, settled in Richmond, BC, Canada. In 1981, she, with her husband Rolf and son Doug, relocated to Roswell, NM, when Rolf was offered an employment opportunity with TMC in Roswell, NM.

She leaves to mourn her passing, Rolf, her husband and best friend of 52 years, one daughter Theresa, grandchildren Collin and Kelly, and great-granddaughter Baylie, all of MB, Canada. One son Douglas and his wife Cara, grandsons Jacob and Ryan of Glendale, AZ, US. She also leaves behind in Canada, her mother-in-law Hilde of WPG, brothers-in-law Winnie and his family, Harry and his family, and numerous nephews and nieces in MB, AB, and BC, Canada. She also leaves good friends Leanne, Marti, and Nancy, and her four-legged critter “Bella.”

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Sr and Lilian Edmonds, father-in-law Ernst Laube, one brother Robert Jr and his wife Gloria Edmonds, one sister Margaret and her husband Kenneth Russel.

In keeping with the deceased wishes, no services will be held. Cremation has taken place.

The ashes are being scattered to the winds in places she had chosen so that her free spirit may roam this Earth with her forebears wherever the winds may take them.
