A woman accused of stealing two packs of beer and threatening a delivery person outside a local convenience store is the Roswell Police Department’s first addition to the “Roswell’s Most Wanted” list in 2021.

Guadalupe Stephanie Perez, who also goes by the aliases Stephanie Ortega, Stephanie Perez and Martha Perez, is wanted on one count each of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, according to a press release issued Tuesday.

Perez, 28, is described as 5 feet tall and 100 pounds, with black and blonde hair and brown eyes. She has tattoos on her neck, head and shoulders.

Individuals with information about Perez’s location or information that could lead to her location, should contact the RPD at 575-624-6770 or Chaves County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-594-8477.

Documents filed in Chaves County Magistrate Court state that on Dec. 10 at around 5:30 a.m., a woman, alleged to be Perez, approached a delivery person who works for the Admiral Beverage Corporation as he was unloading pallets of beverages outside an Allsup’s Convenience Store in the 2500 block of West Second Street in Roswell.

According to court documents, the woman then said something along the lines of “I will take this beer and this one” while removing two 18-packs of beer. The delivery person told police he thought the woman was joking until he went to try to get the beer back from her and then she responded by asking the delivery driver if he wanted to get shot.

A man, described as bald and with tattoos on his face and neck, then allegedly emerged from a nearby black older-model minivan and lifted up his shirt, as if brandishing a gun in his waistband.

The delivery person later told police he then backed away, as Perez and the man she was with got into the vehicle, documents state.

Court documents state that when the delivery person was questioned by police, he would not be able to recognize the man because he was standing further away in the dark, but was able to identify Perez from a photo array as the woman who stole the beer.
