“Judy’s teams were always well prepared and tenacious! Loved those matches, you always knew it would be a battle and so much fun for your kids and the fans. Both gyms were always packed and both teams always put on a great show.

Former Roswell coach Bryan Masse:

I played her mostly during the summers, not much during the regular season. Judy and her assistants always did a good job and her teams were always good. She and Flo (Valdez) were responsible for putting Roswell volleyball on the map.

I never felt Judy received enough credit for all she did. She should be in the state Hall of Fame. Her teams dominated for over a decade. Five state championships and came close to winning five more. Her schemes were cutting edge. What I remember most from her is what she stressed to us. You can have championships, but if you don’t have Jesus, you have nothing.
