Stephen G. Mortimer, 67, passed away peacefully at his home on January 9th after a short battle with cancer. Steve had a long and successful career in banking and financial services in Roswell, NM before moving to Tyler, TX to be able to enjoy his favorite hobby of bass fishing. Steve also spent several years in Iraq during ‘Operation Iraqi Freedom’ as a Lead Cost Specialist with KBR and received several accolades for his superior work and contributions.

Steve is in preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Dorothy Mortimer. He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Lee and husband Adam, Kathryn Barbosa and husband Helio, his loving partner of 26 years Dodie Hankins, and two grandchildren Aaden Lee and Ellie Cate Barbosa.

Steve’s childhood was one of world travel since his father was in the military. His personal collection of items from these travels is vast and impressive, and will be enjoyed by his family for years to come. Steve will be remembered for his quiet demeanor, commanding presence, integrity, and his unwavering love for his family.
