Construction of fiber-optic infrastructure improvements will take place on a portion of South Sunset Avenue beginning Monday, Jan. 18.

The project being done by Plateau Communications is anticipated to be completed by Jan. 27, according to a press release issued by the city. Work will take place each weekday.

During this project, there will be varying sections of lane closures along South Sunset between West Deming Street and just south of West McGaffey Street. The work will progress in 600-foot segments. There will also be lane closures on West McGaffey at the intersection with South Sunset. Motorists are asked to use caution in this project area.
