The city of Roswell Business License Office has been unable to send out renewal notices for business licenses while a computer software transition takes place in the office.

The city and Business License Office issued an announcement apologizing for the inconvenience, but also reminding business owners that they have the responsibility of ensuring that business licenses are up-to-date.

If businesses are simply filing for renewal, no inspection is needed. Renewal applications can be mailed or brought in along with the application fee of $35.

The applications are found online on the city’s website, www.roswell-nm.gov. Business owners should use the appropriate license application for their type of business, whether a home occupation business or a commercial business.

Businesses with a first name starting with a number or the letters A through C should renew by March 31. Letters D through K are due by June 30. Letters L through R are due Sept. 30. Letters S through Z are due Dec. 31.
