The Sunrise Optimist Club of Roswell is holding a Krispy Kreme Doughnut Run fundraiser the first week of February, according to a press release from the club. Orders will be taken from Feb. 1 until Feb. 8 by any Sunrise Optimist member or by contacting any one of the numbers below.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, club members will not be able to deliver the doughnuts to individuals as usual. You will need to pick up your order in the parking lot west of the Convention & Civic Center on North Main Street, Feb. 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Optimist members will, however, deliver to shut-ins and the homebound.

Membership chairman Roger K. Burnett said doughnuts can be ordered and given to first responders as well.

“If you are not into Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, you can purchase a dozen or two and we will deliver them to the first responders, such as firefighters, police officers, sheriff’s department, hospitals, health department, etc.,” Burnett said in an email.

“The proceeds from this fundraiser, as usual, will benefit the youth programs and the youth projects sponsored by the Sunrise Optimist Club. ‘Help us help them,’” he said.
