Private funeral arrangements are being made by the family for the burial of Manuel Jiner Rodríguez at South Park Cemetery.

Manuel Rodríguez was born on October 28, 1929 to Dolores and María Rodríguez. He died on February 2, 2021 in Roswell at the age of 91.

He is survived by his wife Manuela Rodríguez whom he married on December 9, 1950, 3 sons — Ismael Rodríguez, Alfonso Rodríguez and David Rodríguez, 3 daughters — Oralia Rivas, Aurora Rodríguez and Virginia Hernández.

Surviving siblings are 4 brothers — Raúl Rodríguez, Alfredo Rodríguez, David Rodríguez, and José Rodríguez, two sisters — Élfida García, and Mercedes Mondragón, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Manuel Rodríguez was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, having been baptized on July 27, 1974. Before having health problems, he would participate publicly in sharing his beliefs with all those who would listen. His Bible-based hope, centered around the blessings that Jehovah’s Kingdom, in the hands of Jesus Christ, will bring to this world. He had faith in the resurrection that is promised at John 5: 28, 29.
