Elfida “Jeff” Lopez

Elfida “Jeff” Lopez passed away August 9, 2020 with her family at her side after her second fight with Cancer that overcame. She was 64.

Jeff was born on July 13, 1956 in Pecos, Texas to Cruz and Mary (Tercero) Lopez. She was a resident of Sinton for 12 years and former resident of Roswell, NM. Jeff was formerly employed by Flint Hills’ Human Resources Department.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by those who knew her. Jeff married to Robert C Sanchez at a young age having two boys within the first four years of their marriage.

She was a skilled office administrator, in her early years in Roswell working for State Farm and Nova bus and was a very intelligent at what she did. She was a very good cook and always made sure that when she had visitors, she made sure to have what they liked. Her heart was glad when she seen happiness and joy from others for what she did. She enjoyed spending time with her family, enjoyed relaxing with her Mother Mary and having fun with her grandchildren and was no expense when it came to her family.

Preceding in death is her great-grandfather: Luciano Lopez.

Survivors include a daughter: Krystal Pyeatt of Sinton, Texas; sons: Robert Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM and Conrad Sanchez of Roswell, New Mexico;13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; parents: Mary Tecero of Roswell, NM and Cruz Lopez of Pecos, Texas; brothers: Cruz Lopez, Jr; Adan (Donnie) Lopez of Dexter, NM; Jessie Lopez of Hagerman, NM; Henry Lopez of Hobbs, NM; Daniel Lopez of Austin, Texas; sisters: Nancy Lopez Urda of San Diego, CA; Lynn Lopez Inman of Roswell, NM; Luciana O’Campo (Francisco) of Roswell, NM: and many extended family members.
