JANET ELIZABETH YATES, 83, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Janet’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SERVICES: A Graveside Service for Janet will be held at South Park Cemetery on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 10:00 AM.

On November 8, 1937, Janet was born to Ralph E. and Martha A. Bartlett in Littlefield, Texas. She was the beloved wife of Norman E. Yates, Sr, who preceded her in death. Janet loved her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great-granddaughter. She was known for her bags full of popcorn balls at Christmas time. Her greatest joys were watching her western movies, shopping, puzzles, and coloring. Janet had an artistic gift of making quilts and jewelry. She is extremely loved by so many and will be missed.

SURVIVORS: Janet is survived by her children: Cindy E. Yates-Pascale and husband George, Norman E. Yates Jr. and wife Natalie, Ted E. Yates, Sam E. Yates, and Steven L. Yates; grandchildren: Frederick G. Rivera II, Brandy F. Rivera (Bandit), Michael A. Farr, Joel E. Yates, Joshua D. Yates, Natasha A. Villanueva, Vernon E. Yates, Amber D. Yates, Brandon E. Yates, and Ruthie N. Yates; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; as well as her siblings: Joyce A. Bartlett, Peggy S. Bartlett, and Tammie D. Bartlett.

PRECEDED: Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Yates Sr; parents, Ralph E. and Martha A. Bartlett; and her siblings: Ralph E. (Gene) Bartlett, Jimmy W. Bartlett, and Betty L. Bartlett-Tricarico.
