RISD continues free student meals

The Roswell Independent School District and Director of Student Nutrition Kim Meeks announced Friday that breakfast and lunch meals will be provided for free to all students for the rest of the academic year.

New arrangements will begin once hybrid learning starts Feb. 16.

For in-person instruction

Students attending in-person classes will be served free meals in their assigned areas.

Grab and Go Meals will be offered from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at the following five locations: Goddard High School, Roswell High School, University High School, Berrendo Elementary and East Grand Plains Elementary.

On Wednesday, Grab and Go Meals will be provided from 8 a.m. until noon at the following schools: Goddard, Roswell and University high schools; also Berrendo, East Grand Plains, El Capitan, Military Heights, Missouri Avenue, Monterrey, Nancy Lopez, Pecos, Sunset, Valley View and Washington Avenue elementary schools.
