A tanker truck from the Berrendo Volunteer Fire Department rolls onto the scene as crews from the Roswell Fire Department seek to contain a fire Saturday of a house in the 500 block of South Richardson Avenue. At least six RFD fire engines were on the scene along with tanker trucks, Roswell Police Department patrol officers and Superior Ambulance units, while area residents and other spectators watched the fire rage. Todd Wildermuth, public information officer with the RFD, said the fire was reported at 11 a.m. Wildermuth said a portion of the roof collapsed but the house was vacant and there were no injuries.
