Funeral Services for Crystal Smith, 35, of Carlsbad, NM, will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Crystal passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021, in Roswell, NM. Crystal was born on July 23, 1985, to Billy Ray Smith and Brenda Lee Salcido, in Carlsbad, NM. She graduated from Goddard High School in 2004. Crystal had a smile that could light up a room. She made an impression on everyone that met her. She loved to be around family and friends every chance she got. Crystal loved to cook. She loved to dance, laugh and joke, take long drives out of town, listen to music and work on cars. The one thing she cherished the most was being with her kids. Crystal was baptized at the First Church of Jesus Christ. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece, and friend.

Crystal is survived by her children: Mya Faye Phillips, Sylvia Lynn Vargas, Adonis Roberto Vargas, and Ambrosia LeeAnn Camacho; sisters: Adelina Salcido-Martinez and Keyanna Warner; sister-in-law, Amber Smith; brothers: Jack Salcido, Ray Smith, and Angel Rodriguez; brother-in-Law, Joseph Martinez; uncles: James Edwards and Benjamin Salcido; aunts: Victoria Duran and Sarah Candelaria; grandmother, Arcelia Duran; Robert Vargas and Angel Camacho; nine nieces and nephews; and a host of numerous relatives.

Crystal was preceded in death by her grandmother, Artie Cheadle; great uncle, Willie Smith; great aunt, Joyce Allen; and cousin, Gloria Mayo.
