A woman who was reported missing for nearly a week after she was discharged from a local hospital has been found safe.

Crystal Ann Amador, 39, contacted the Roswell Police Department Wednesday at about 9:30 a.m. from an apartment. She notified police she was aware that she had been reported missing and was all right, Todd Wildermuth, public information officer with the RPD, said.

“Officers went to the location and contacted her to confirm it was her and that she was OK,” he said.

A former employer of Amador’s reported her missing Friday after several friends said they could not find her after she was discharged from a local hospital March 3.

She was sent to the hospital after being found with injuries to her face and legs behind a convenience store at the corner of South Main and Bland streets.

Amador refused to disclose information to police and Roswell Fire Department personnel about what had happened. She was admitted to a local hospital to receive treatment for her injuries and released that same day.
