OFELIA FUENTES DE SILVA, 72, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at her home in Roswell, New Mexico.

SERVICES: There will be a Viewing for Ofelia at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 15, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at 9:30 AM, followed by Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

On August 10, 1948, Ofelia was born to Meliton and Marciana Fuentes in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She was the beloved wife of Ignacio Silva, and they shared fifty-four years of marriage. As a result of their happy union, six wonderful children were added to their home. Ofelia worked for many years at Levi Stauss in Roswell, New Mexico. She later retired and dedicated herself to caring for her husband and family home. Ofelia loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Listening to music, singing, and crocheting were her favorite ways to enjoy her extra time. She was dearly loved and will forever remain in the hearts of her treasured family and friends.

SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish Ofelia’s memory are her husband, Ignacio Silva; sons: Milo Silva and wife Reyna Silva, Jose Silva and wife Veronica Silva, and Jerardo Silva; daughter, Patricia Alvarez and husband Sergio E. Alvarez; grandchildren: Milo Silva Jr, Jose Silva, Miguel Trujillo, Ricardo Silva, Armando Silva, Nathaniel Silva, Leticia Silva, Juancarlos Alvarez, Miguelangel Alvarez, Annaeli Alvarez, and Ileanna Alvarez; great-grandchildren: Aaliyah Alfaro, Aaron Sarellano, Adali Silva, Mia Silva; siblings: Attagrasia Fuentes Hernandez, Leonor Fuentes Hernandez, Imelda Fuentes Hernandez, Macaria Fuentes Hernandez, Maria Isabel Fuentes Hernandez, Meliton Fuentes Hernandez, Basilio Fuentes Hernandez, and Savas Fuentes Hernandez; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

PRECEDED: Preceding Ofelia in death are her children: Manuelita Silva and Leticia Silva; and parents, Meliton and Marciana Fuentes.
