A Moriarty woman recently reported missing from a Roswell motel has been located and is safe.

Lilly Bailey, 47, also known as “Zanna,” was found in her hometown, Todd Wildermuth, public information officer with the Roswell Police Department, said Friday. He added that the RPD was informed Friday that someone brought Bailey into the Moriarty Police Station.

Captain Mark Satterfield of the Moriarty Police Department confirmed the news and said Bailey came to the station Friday morning.

Neither Wildermuth or Satterfield disclosed any further information as to where Bailey had been, or the circumstances of her sudden departure from the Roswell Inn at 2100 North Main Street on March 19. Bailey left the room where she had been staying at 5 p.m. to visit a friend in another room while her boyfriend remained in their room. The friend Bailey was going to visit later told RPD officers that Bailey never made it to his room.

Footage from surveillance video showed Bailey walking out of the room she and her boyfriend had been staying in, walking over to a white, older model Chevrolet pickup truck and then entering the vehicle through the passenger side door. It appeared she got into the vehicle voluntarily, according to an RPD press release.
