Two vehicles reported burned in arson

An officer was dispatched March 22 at 11:25 p.m. to the 1300 block of Sorento Drive in reference to an arson. A 2015 Ford Escape and a 2001 Mitsubishi were both reported as burned.

Arrests/citations

Valente Borrego-Cortes was charged March 20 at 1:20 a.m. with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs in the 900 block of South Main Street.

Jennifer Jasmin Bejarano-Montanez was charged March 20 at 3:50 a.m. with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs in the 2000 block of Southeast Main Street.

Marshall Lufkin was charged March 23 at 11:11 a.m. with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in the 600 block of East Second Street.

Karl Afsprung was charged March 25 at 9:55 a.m. with shoplifting in the 100 block of East Alameda Street.

Ashleigh Allen was charged March 25 at 12 a.m. with fraud in the 100 block of West Second Street.

Christopher Benjamin Lopez was charged March 26 at 5:11 a.m. with controlled substances, possession prohibited in the 100 block of West Second Street.

Criminal damage

Police responded March 21 at 5:45 a.m. to a criminal damage call in the 3600 block of North Main Street. A garage door valued at $1,200 was reported damaged.

Larceny/theft

Police were dispatched March 19 at 6:11 p.m. to the zero block of Vista Parkway Circle in response to a report of wire fraud. Money in the amount of $500 was reported stolen.

An officer responded March 20 at 1:49 p.m. to an unlawful taking of a motor vehicle or trailer in the 1200 block of South Michigan Avenue. A trailer valued at $300 was reported stolen.

Police were dispatched March 21 at 10:34 a.m. to the 1600 block of West Summit Street in reference to a burglary. A blue 9 mm pistol valued at $150 was reported stolen.

An officer was dispatched March 22 at 10:03 p.m. to the 4500 block of North Main Street in reference to the reported shoplifting of the following items: Trim nails, valued at .97, screws valued at $4.92, a GPS valued at $189, a VERSA camera valued at $37.96, an Action camera valued at $69, a gutter light valued at $8.93, and a flashlight valued at $19.86.

Police responded March 23 at noon to a larceny in the 1100 block of South Main Street. Cash in the amount of $400 and a $20 checkbook were reported stolen.

An officer on March 24 at 8:10 a.m. was dispatched to the 1300 block of West Camino Real in reference to a larceny of a bicycle. A Mongoose bicycle valued at $250 was reported stolen.
