Otelia Salcido Gutierrez, also known as “Tillie,” 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Otelia’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SERVICES: A Memorial Service for Tillie will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 201 W. 5th Street, Dexter, New Mexico, on Friday, April 2, 2021, at 2:00 PM.

On June 20, 1942, Tillie was born to Raymond and Adella Salcido in Dexter, New Mexico. She was the beloved wife of Armando Gutierrez, who she married on September 22, he preceded her in death. Tillie was a homemaker, her greatest joy was her children and staying home to raise them. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Dexter, New Mexico. Otelia enjoyed working on her embroidery and making her delicious green chili. Most of all, Tillie most definitely loved spending time with all her grandchildren.

SURVIVORS: Otelia is survived by her children: Irene Gutierrez, Irma Ramirez, and Fidencio Ramirez; grandchildren: Steve Ramirez, Justin Ramirez, Anthony Ramirez, K. Shalee Gutierrez, Shawn Juarez, and Michael Riply; great-grandchildren: Chayse Costa, Reed Ramirez, Aaron Ramirez, Manny Fuentez, Azlynn Fuentez, Andrew Fuentez, Tristian Juarez, Lacie Juarez, and JJ Juarez; brother, Adolfo Salcido; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

PRECEDED: Otelia is preceded in death by her husband, Armando Gutierrez; children: Adam Gutierrez and Isreael Gutierrez; parents, Raymond and Adela Salcido; siblings: Rachel Flores, Sammy Salcido, Raul Salcido, Lee Salcido, and Alex Salcido.
