After a year-long hiatus, the Roswell Sertoma Club, located at 303 N. Virginia Ave., is planning to resume its bingo operation on Wednesday, April 7, pending final clearance from the New Mexico Gaming Commission.

In anticipation of reopening, the management of the bingo operation has adopted all the requirements to obtain the New Mexico COVID-Safe Practices certification. Furthermore, member volunteers have conducted a complete and thorough cleaning of the bingo hall.

This included cleaning the fluorescent light fixtures, the fan blades and even down to each and every one of the many trash receptacles. The carpeting has been cleaned and the chairs and tables have been sanitized and set in accordance with COVID-19 spacing requirements.

Bingo players will see some changes when they arrive. At the moment and because of COVID-19 restrictions, no food is available and no food may be brought in. Masks are required by all people at all times.

Some of the house rules have been changed, e.g., no one under the age of 18 years old will be allowed in the bingo hall.
