With completion of pavement-maintenance operations on North Union Avenue, the city of Roswell Engineering Department is taking advantage of the fresh pavement to adjust traffic-lane use for the southbound Union Avenue lanes as they approach West College Boulevard.

According to a press release issued by the city, to increase efficiency at the Union/College intersection, lane use is being revised to three lanes for southbound traffic on Union Avenue: one lane dedicated to right-turn only, one lane dedicated to traffic continuing straight through the intersection southbound, and one shared lane to continue south or turn left. Signs have been installed.

The pavement will receive painted lane stripes and painted pavement arrows the week of May 3. The striping contractor will also replace striping on other streets undergoing pavement maintenance: West Poe Street, South Garden Avenue, East Mescalero Road, West 19th Street and South Union Avenue.
