According to McVay Tellez, executive director of the Historical Society for Southeast New Mexico, the Spring Fling drive thru, benefiting the organization on April 11, was a full success. “We fed around 300 and were very blessed due to the generosity of the community,” she said. Many recipients received the lunch boxes as a form of paying it forward. “That is what the Historical Society for Southeast New Mexico is all about: Working together for the good and celebrating history,” McVay Tellez said.
