Phillip Theodore Keck “Ted” of Roswell, NM, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at the age of 68. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Ted’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SURVIVORS: Ted is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donalita Keck; sons: Jeffrey and wife Becky, Emerson, Ajiee and wife Tayah; grandchildren: Jaycee and husband Adam, Tyler, Ryan, Cianna, Cerenity and Taliyah; one great-grandson, Riley; as well as his brother, Joe Keck and wife Cindy.

PRECEDED: Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Juanita Keck.

On October 24, 1952, Ted was born to Walter and Juanita Keck in Lubbock, Texas. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1969 to 1974. After being honorably discharged from the military, Ted began his career in the oilfield industry.

In 1984, Ted moved his family to Colorado, where he worked as a welder for many years. He was also an entrepreneur for a short time in the window business. After being tired of shoveling snow, Ted and his wife moved back home to Roswell in 2014. Prior to retiring in 2018, he drove a truck. He loved all sports, especially football, he was an avid “Dallas Cowboys” fan. Ted was a lover of the outdoors and had a passion for hunting and fishing. Being active was important to Ted, he would work out three days a week and looked forward to Friday’s so he can go golfing.

He was liked and loved by many, Ted will be dearly missed.

Graveside services for Ted will be held at General Douglas L. McBride Veterans Cemetery on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
