Annie Pearlene McPherson also known as GG, 81 of Roswell New Mexico, was born to Jewett & Edith Potts in Yanush, OK on March 24th, 1940.

On May 10th, 2021, Annie started her day with a beautiful sunrise and continued on into the Heavens with a peaceful till we see you again surrounded by her loving family and dog Blue.

Annie McPherson had many titles that she embraced proudly. She was a loving wife, mom, sister, daughter but most importantly she enjoyed being a grandma. She was her grandkids grandma, her great grandkids grandma, her nieces and nephew grandma. She was the epitome of a grandma. It was not this is my great grandma, but this is my GREAT (of an extent, amount or intensity considerably above the normal or average) Grandma. The kids loved to be at her house and anything kid friendly Roswell had to offer she was there with 20 grandkids. Ok may not 20, but close to it.

She was an amazing mom. She coached her sons to a 1st place season in baseball. She was a competitive bowler in her younger years and even had some of the great grandkids in a bowling league at one point. She enjoyed going to yard sales. She would ring in each New Year with her grandsons. She enjoyed going to the Joy Center to hang out with her friends. She was selfless, quirky, and she loved the Lord with all her heart.

Annie was a prayer warrior. If you ever talked to her about anything you were dealing with, I promise you this…she prayed for you. She liked John 14:27 which reads “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Do not your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” She was soft and gentle yet strong and determined.

A special thanks to all of her awesome Encompass Care Team.

In her last days she often told us not to cry, tears of sadness made no sense
When all she could see was the pearl white fence.
When you miss her,
cry tears of joy as we
celebrate her life,
Let’s sow love and kindness and turn away from strife.
Let’s all try to live an honorable life.
Love one another and check up on each other, call your loved ones and answer their calls,
For we never know when death is down the hall.
Pray and pray and when you feel knocked down, you get up and you walk tall.
When your sad, call on your heavenly Dad,
for he is the comforter of us all.
When you’re scared he protects, when you’re lost he directs.
Peace and joy through the storm, in the Lord we can rest.
Through his name withstand the test.
Always strive to do your best, our merciful father will cover the rest.
It’s ok to miss her, but above all let’s give her the way we live our life.
Grandma watch over us, thanks for all the prayers and lessons that you taught.
We will miss you deeply as your absence breaks our heart, but the
memories you left us will be the super glue.
The glimpses of the life you lived
will just have to do.
Thank you God for GG’s life.
You all have fun up there. Give her hugs and all our love until we meet again.
