Virtual public forum to focus on streets

The streets of Roswell will be the focus of this month’s City of Roswell virtual public forum, which will take place at a time different than that of the previous forums.

The forum on Thursday, May 20, will take place at 12:30 p.m. The afternoon time was scheduled since a special City Council meeting is planned for that evening. The recorded version of the forum can be viewed anytime after its initial presentation.

The monthly forums are accessible on the city’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, and can also be viewed later on the “City Manager” page of the city website (roswell-nm.gov) and the city’s YouTube channel.

The May 20 forum, which will discuss the city streets and the city’s street improvement project plan, is the fourth forum in a series of 10 virtual public forums for 2021.

People will be able to ask questions near the end of the May 20 forum, but the public is encouraged to submit questions ahead of time so they can be addressed as thoroughly as possible. Questions should be submitted at surveymonkey.com/r/MayForum21.

A list of this year’s forum topics and dates can be found on the city website on the “City Manager” page.

The Roswell Public Library will set up a computer and large screen on which to show the forum in an area of the library that can accommodate a group and maintain current health precautions.

This is being made available for anyone who does not have internet or may have slow internet. Library staff will submit any questions citizens may wish to ask during the forum.
