Harold Wayne Kirkpatrick

Harold Wayne Kirkpatrick, 71, also known to all in the community and friends on the radio as “Wayne Kaye,” passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021, in Las Cruces, NM. Services are pending at this time. On November 29, 1949, Harold was born to Robert Alton and Helen Jo Kirkpatrick in Odessa, Texas, and graduated from Midland Lee High School. He found happiness in music and spending quality time with his family and friends. Harold was the beloved husband of Juanita Kirkpatrick, who he married on June 26, 1992, in Roswell, New Mexico.

Harold was a people person and had a passion for the radio and broadcasting industry. His determination and pleasant personality led him to have a distinguished career in broadcasting that spanned several years in the radio. Harold received an award for broadcaster of the year in 1996 – 1997. He always maintained his passion for music, and he began to work as a DJ. Harold later worked as a production manager and in sales before retiring. Harold was a volunteer for both Little League Football and a Baseball Coach. He loved watching western movies and the Dallas Cowboys. Harold was and is well-loved and respected, and his physical presence will be missed.

SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Harold are his loving wife, Juanita Kay Kirkpatrick; stepsons: William Alan Galassini and Clarence Dayton Galassini; grandchildren: Ally Paige Galassini, Kassidy Ryan Galassini, and Angela Clare Galassini; mother-in-law, Phyllis N. Foster; brothers: Thomas Lee Kirkpatrick and Steve Eric Kirkpatrick; four aunts; many nieces and nephews; and his close friends: Don and Rita Niccum and Grant McGee.

PRECEDED: Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Alton and Helen Jo Kirkpatrick; and grandparents on both sides.
