He was born on December 3rd, 1924 to Mona Esther Teare and June James Hall in Watson, Missouri, and was married for 53 years to Mozelle Standard of Artesia, NM.

In April, 1943 Uncle Sam “invited Ralph to join him in the 5th Air Force.” As a teletype operator he was assigned to the 1093rd signal detachment in Dutch New Guinea then later to the 1375th Signal Co. on Biak Island then to Layte In the Philippine Islands. Decorations and certifications include the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with Bronze Service Star, the World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was then honorably discharged in 1945.

After military service, Ralph began his career in telephone and communications work starting as a new construction lineman for Mountain Bell in New Mexico. He worked as a central office repairman in Artesia, NM and then was promoted to central office supervisor in Roswell, NM.

Ralph retired from Ma Bell in 1978 to relocate from Roswell to his favorite place in the world, Lake Buchanan, TX. He was an outdoorsman. From hunting and camping to becoming an avid fisherman, moving to Tow allowed him to feed that passion. Ralph never met a catfish he didn’t love to filet.
